parent of a 7th grader here. The curriculum for the 6th/7th GAT program is a mixed bag. Here are our grades for the 4 core classes:ELA: A. class and teacher were solid, well taught, good mix of topics (debate, critical thinking), independent reading, and literature and analyzed by the entire class.

The teachers of this magnet are not supportive and don't follow IEPs and they single-out students with IEPs during classes.If your child is on the alternative cur

Posted by a student on 1/29/2026Some very dedicated teachers and personnel. But mostly an unresponsive nightmare. I wish I had read these reviews before I sent my kid here. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy oldest daughter absolutely LOVES this school. She was bored at the previous school and now I've seen her confidence grow. I think it's such a wonderful place for kids to really express themselves and be heard. The other day she told me she didn't want to be late and miss anything. She said, and I quote her "I love to work on my book!" I think it's awesome that they keep her interested and intrigued. And the teachers keep you in the loop for everything! I never feel like I don't know what's going on. Sometimes I ask myself "Who is this little smarty pant 5 year old?"
