9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's a country club type school. Very elite-centered. They will openly tell you that they do not want your child there and then "lose" their CMS student record multiple times a year so you have to keep proving your residency. I knew 1 family who moved to SC but still attended there anyway b/c he was an ideal student. Middle school kids still wear their sweatshirts from there because it's seen as a power move. On a positive note, the parents and the PTA are super involved. Teachers heavily rely on class parents, subs, and volunteers for class coverage. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is a senior and has loved being part of such a diverse community. The curriculum and standards for learning are exceptional and prepare students perfectly for their next chapter (whether that is college or otherwise). For a school of this size, it has always felt like a family to my family. You can be involved a lot and there will be a place for you as a parent… but you will be treated the same whether you have the ability to volunteer or not. Somehow, Mrs. brooks seems to know all 3400 students’ names and recognizes the families out and about in the community. People seem to push back on admin if they see her as developing strict rules or guidelines for how the school is run….. however, two thoughts I often wonder: #1 If a man said the same thing she says, why would a man not be questioned or called demeaning names. This is not a “liberal agenda” this is the truth. I think Mrs. Brooks handles the amount of pushback and unwarranted anger with grace and understanding in the best way she knows how. And #2 Do people have no idea what it is like to staff and lead a school in 2024? Teachers are leaving the state in droves and enrollments in teacher training programs are drastically dwindling. Empathy goes a long way rather than ranting when something silly happens (“my child could not get door dash delivered!” Is something I heard a parent ranting about at Target for the 15 mins we were in line).Parent Review3mo ago - Check out schools near 11231 Cobb Creek Ct.

"Everything feels 10-20 minutes away... Uptown, South Park, the airport. It's a great location. 485 traffic can be tough at times but knowing when to leave the house fixes all of that. "

"Lived here for 3 years and in the area for 10. Very clean and nice neighborhoods Many new comers in this area and many newer houses. Close to lots of things and now that more shopping has come in you can really do most anything within 2-5 miles. "

"I live here and have for 10 years. I am single but know a lot of retirees love it for the proximity to 2 movie theatres, multiple grocery stores, shopping centers, etc. Families like the schools and the whole Ballantyne area is clean and safe and convenient."

"I use to live in this area. I miss all the beautiful trees, the nice people and many options of grocery stores available: 3 very nice Harris Teeters, Lowes Foods, Trader Joes, Earthfare and a brand new Walmart 10 miles away. "
