4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school revamped a few years ago, and I've been impressed as a parent of a current student and alumni. I've had 4 kids go to North, and they all had great experiences. My last 2 children took all Honors classes, which allowed them to test well to get into the Hardin County Academy, a dual credit program that lets them graduate with a high school diploma as well as an Associates degree from ECTC. The teachers really care about the students and their knowledge and ability in the subjects. Currently my daughter has been taking Engineering classes, which are both advanced yet fun and stimulating. The teachers really work with the students as long as the students show initiative in improving. The diversity of North Hardin has long been it's strong suit. Located in Radcliff, KY, it sits right outside of the Fort Knox's gates. We have the diversity of a big city but with a small town feel.I am an alumni of NHHS, and it was the same when I attended. there are plenty of clubs to join, sports to participate in outside of the academics. Its quite a large HS for the state with roughly 1,600 students, or 400 students per grade. Depending on class selection, North prepares students for college or trade depending. They have opened up pathways for students to follow.I would totally recommend North Hardin High school to anyone!Parent Review4mo ago - James T Alton Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll of my children (and step-children) attended JTA over the years from 2004 through 2021. They all had an amazing experience. My youngest was in 6th grade when the pandemic hit and kids were sent home. This affected all schools. My now 18 yr son loved JTA, as well as my now 16 yr old. I never had any issues with my daughters, a few with my son. However, these issues were dealt with fairly. The did have a long serving principal who retired when my son was in 8th grade(?). She was firm but fair, and challenged the teachers, along with students. They have gone through several principals since. There was a principal that really wasn't fit for the job; most were unhappy about some issues. HOWEVER, this did NOT affect the teacher/student relationships nor instruction. This principal has since stepped down. The husband-wife team of counselors, the Roberts, are literally the BEST.. Mr. Roberts always found time to listen to my concerns, and he, (or Ms. Roberts) would address it with either the teachers/staff/ leadership. Once addressed, he would always keep me informed of the resolution.Every school is going to have an issue here and there. I take it back, I did have a situation that inadvertently involved my daughter (I was seeking resolution as it was not her fault due to anther students' behavior and actions towards her. I felt the the principal along with the Security Officer, handled the entire situation inappropriately. I had no choice in the recourse. If leadership is failing to handle a situation properly, you always have the right to contact the Superintendent's at the Hardin County Central office. Overall, this was a great school for the kids. The teachers really do care for your students, and help as much as they can. Now my kids have gone off to North Hardin High School; one is now in college.I am firm believer in you get what you put in. Teachers like Mr. Witham, the band teacher, truly cares about the kids, and hes been there so long, he taught all of my children.I'd like to see them get a principal like they had with Jama Bennett, who will be there for the long haul and really cares about the students, and their academics, along w veteran teachers and not a bunch of new teachers. It is a good school, in a small rural town, but only a few miles away from the High School. To us it has always been pretty diverse, and will continue to be so as more and more military move into the school zoneParent Review4mo ago - Woodland Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school, They have been great, to my kids, any issues i have they are open to listening and addressing then coming up with a resolution. The principal Mrs. Tariquino is absolute the best... she takes her time and listens to any issue. She is very reasonable, one thing i love about the school, is that they are committed to having the most successful students. This is not a pipeline to prison school, they are actually invested in your child's well being in all ways. I love how protective they are towards the students, showing ID to check out a child. I love how you can communicate with the teachers about my child's learning experience good or bad. They have after school EAGLE academy that offers more assistance to your child's learning , where they get assistance with homework, feed them, and do other activities. so when your child comes home its family time no stress of cooking and home work before bed. I absolutely love WOODLAND! I have 2 kids in this school and they love school and learning. i choose woodland out of all other schools in the area because i know they care about my kids and their learning. the thing that stands out the most is that they are committed to always bettering the learning environment. another thing i love is that even if your child has had a bad year the previous year they show support that your child can change , the next year its a fresh new year. any student that attends this school is super blessed .Parent Review2y ago - North Park Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love the teachers and staff at this school. I really feel they have my daughters best interest in mind. They work well to keep her learning on track and pushing her to work to her highest capability all while keeping it fun! She loves her teachers and has a great new experience everyday! The school is also really great about offering experiences for parents to get involved in their child's learning and how to best help your child succeed! Such a great school!Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 1076 Sunset Dr.

"Radcliff is an area that is solely for living. There are no real community events, nor is there a sense of belonging here. It seems to be a place where people live temporarily due to its location to Fort Knox."

"Parts of Radcliff are nice but I would definitely research the area and educate myself about the cost of living and quality of life in each neighborhood that you’re interested in because there are some places that even if you’re a good quiet neighbor you still have high crime and could become a victim to the crime there"

"The neighborhoods here are not good. They are trash. Minus the 25% that are decent and away from the bad neighborhoods"

"It’s okay. Not great, but not bad. It’s definitely better than Elizabethtown. My favorite thing is that the police are very responsive—unlike Etown. Anytime we’ve needed police help, for example, to report a dog in a locked car, they’ve been very quick to help. We used to live in Etown, which is certainly more of a closed-minded area."
