Posted by a student on 12/10/2025This school revamped a few years ago, and I've been impressed as a parent of a current student and alumni. I've had 4 kids go to North, and they all had great experiences. My last 2 children took all Honors classes, which allowed them to test well to get into the Hardin County Academy, a dual credit
Posted by a parent on 12/8/2023My teens have gone here since freshman year and are now seniors. The staff are caring and professional. They are more than willing to help the kids when needed, and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
Posted by a parent on 6/22/2021I was worried moving here with the low rating but both of my children attend or attended North Hardin and have been supported and encouraged by teachers and counselors. The course options are abundant including dual credit and honors courses

The leadership change to a new principal was the key...he changed the climate, encouraged teachers to challenge themselves, and helped students see just what they could do if they stuck to it. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBeen here since sixth-grade and now 10th. Love it here; however, some problems, such as education and students being louder than a tornado siren, can be adjusted. I struggled learning at first, but when I started here some of my teachers really helped my formal education like Mrs Missy for middle school and Algebra 1, Mrs. Annette for Biology, and many other teachers. I'd love to see improvement for learning new things each day instead of the same thing every month. They work well to keep her learning on track and pushing her to work to her highest capability all while keeping it fun! She loves her teachers and has a great new experience everyday!
