This comfortable 1760 sf home features three bedrooms, dining and living rooms, kitchen, breakfast nook, kitchen deck, sun deck, a fully finished English basement, four garden spaces and two full bathrooms.
Through the Golden Oak-stained doors and paneled vestibule you are greeted with a polished cherry wood staircase landing in a spacious living room with open arch to dining room featuring original Arts & Crafts tiled fireplace with unique hand wrought Spanish Revival copper hood, maple bordered parquet floors, coffered beam ceilings, book nook with leaded glass cabinets, and a comfortable window seat storage bench.
Main floor features a chef's kitchen with original butler's pantry, granite countertops, a 5-burner Kitchenaide gas range & dishwasher and GE Profile French door fridge.
Kitchen door leads to a cozy breakfast nook, with Moroccan stone decorative floor tiles, that opens to a wrought iron deck featuring a natural gas grill hook-up and shady garden with trees, David Austin roses, herbs and berry plants-perfect for entertaining.
The top floor features restored stained glass windows beneath two brilliant skylights, and the warmth of honey toned parquet floors, three well-proportioned bedrooms and a fabulous sun deck with southern exposure.
The primary bedroom has two full closets and a cozy window seat overlooking the tree lined street. The full bath on this floor has an original tub and reverse domino pattern motif tiles. The finished English basement features a roomy laundry room with GE top loading washer and front-loading Maytag dryer, a full bath and expansive recreation/home office area with separate entry to the deep garden and front.
The neighborhood offers great transportation with the 2/3/4/5 trains (on the same platform) ½ block away at Franklin Ave/Medgar Evers Station (15 minutes to Manhattan and LIRR two stops away) with connecting shuttle to the C/Q train lines! Bike paths on Eastern Parkway take you to nearby Brooklyn Museum of Art, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza Farmers Market. The Union Market, vibrant restaurants and the popular Major Owens Health and Wellness Center are all within a 2 block radius.

"There are lots of dog parks both official and unofficial, where you can have your dog off leash before 9am or after 9pm. It's important to understand that it's not ok to let your dog pee or poop on sidewalk trees. Homeowners here take a lot of pride in their trees and gardens and letting your dog relieve itself on their property (even if you clean it up) is considered deeply disrespectful."
