5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDespite some of the reviews on this page. PS 78 turned out to be a wonderful school for my daughter. Prior to PS 78 she attended a different elementary school in the area, which so horrible and not focused on the quality education of its students. However after transferring to 78 her whole outlook changed and her grades improved tremendously. I would like to say that the teachers and staff are the best. I rate the a great big 10. If your kid goes there I'm sure you'll be very happy.Other Review7y ago - Jhs 144 Michelangelo

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI Love the way the teachers at this school have taken an interest in my daughter, saw her potential and pushed and encourage her to be the best that she can be. They let her believe in herself, make me believe that she is quite capable to excel in her personal academic studies. She is reaching for the stars and i know that they are behind her 100%.Parent Review1y ago - High School of Contemporary Arts

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a temporarily assigned teacher there for several months. I enjoyed the stay there. I felt the principal was very nurturing and committed to the students. His door was constantly open and the students felt comfortable going to him. The only issue I noticed was that the school had several Art genres when it started and are now down to a few. The directory has not been revised and may be misleading to students.Teacher Review12y ago - Pelham Gardens Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePelham Garden Middle School is a hidden gem in the Bronx's District 11. The administrators, teachers, and staff are extremely supportive, going above and beyond to help all students succeed academically, as well as in the social-emotional aspect. They take students' safety seriously and have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. If you are looking for a well-rounded education for your child, PGM is the school for you. They offer challenging, hands-on curriculums, extracurricular activities, and after-school programs that will help elevate your child's critical thinking to the next level. It is gratifying to see students fully engaged in their learning, in a fun and safe environment. Thanks to PGMS, my daughter's future looks brighter than ever. She graduated with four regents exams and is now attending a six-year summer program at New York University. I call PGMS our 'Specialized Middle School in the Bronx. I would not be surprised if they become a Blue Ribbon School in the near future. Keep it up, Panthers!!.Parent Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 1025 E 215th St #2.

"the neighborhood is a mix of single and multifamily homes and mid rise apartments. it is close to everything but also has a feel of neighborhood. the street parking is atrocious however, so if you have a car, you will be sitting it waiting for a space for a long time. it is a good starting point for an apartment."
