"The neighborhood is becoming younger as families move in to replace those who have lived here for decades. There is a supermarket very near, also a gas station and convenience store. it's easy to walk downtown, to the library, to Centre College, restaurants, etc. Homes are very well built and attractive. Green Acres is a premier area of our lovely town."

"It’s usually quite and nobody bothers you sooo I don’t like city life with hospital at one end and college on other. Helicopter across rd and train tracks behind. I’m country girl look for out of town. Funeral home at end of rd. Parking here is no good"

"As a Danville transfer from upstate New York, I can honestly say that Danville and Central KY is equally as beautiful with the added benefit of 9 mos of beautiful weather! I can't imagine a better community to raise children. Danville might be a small town, but it has big city culture and arts with Centre College's Norton Center which has held one vice presidental debate and will be offer another for the 2012 election along with several concerts and broadway shows. Danville's weather offers just enough fall to enjoy the seasonal colors, enough snow to make Christmas magical, enough spring to watch the crocus' bloom in March the summer is longest season of all with abundant sunshine, not too hot with rarely a cloud in the sky! Danville is truly the best kept secret in the south! There is plenty of industry, so taxes are low, and the cost of living is exceptional. Big city shopping is only a 30 minute drive or you can browse the quaint shops along Main St. right in town. With several new resaturants and gathering spots which have opened recently, Danville is a wonderful place to visit even if you are not lucky enough to move to the area. If you love horses, green countryside and warm friendly people, this town is for you!"
