What Locals Say about Sauk Village

"Very quite and great for families who don’t mind commuting and stores and food are in surrounding areas. The water quality could be better. And it’s very dry in the summer time. Overall the people are nice and neighborly. Different ethnicities here as well. "

"I work 10 minutes from home. My commute is excellent and there is access to major highways and expressways. There are also plenty of gas stations and access to public transportation."

"My commute is actually very good. The access to magic expressways is very convenient and I make it to work within a half an hour and I work in South Shore. There isn’t much standing traffic. Inclement weather makes for a longer commute, as drivers come from nearby Indiana as well."

"Trunk or treating, community center for children, not much else to do and a significantly high crime rate but the market rent is cheaper than most areas"

"The area is pretty quiet and safe for the most part. I’ve lived in Sauk village for about 4yrs and I’m very happy here. I use to live in Chicago where there was always some sort of noise. Sauk village is definitely a breath of fresh air. "

"I would not advise anyone to move in sauk village. The police don't come when you need them. It is a lot of break ins in the the neighborhood. The schools are garbage they do not have anything for the kids to do. The neighborhood is going down. t The water is horrible and the bills are getting higher. "
