"The best thing about this neighborhood is having a mechanic (Los Altos) and a store (Dorbys) right around the corner within walking distance. However, if you plan to move here I recommend buying and not renting as some landlords are pure slumlords. "

"The diverse people and the food mostly. Southwest Detroit is known for being a mostly working class part of the city, with its population being mostly made up of Polish and Hungarian people, Latinos, Blacks, and other minority groups. With that, the culture is very diverse, with various opportunities to find good food, music, and art to enjoy. It's much richer here than anywhere else in Wayne county. I'd go so far to say it's more culturally diverse here than in most places in Michigan. "

"There is decent access to I-75 and I-94, which provide quick access to surrounding communities. I wfh so commute isn’t super important to me. "
