"Dogs are welcome if owners would just use poop bags and take the bags to a trash can. I’m a dog owner and we have a good life here "

"Cosmic Coffee is a 5 minute walk for happy hour, by way of the pond. We also walk to Crux to workout and co-work. The neighbors are friendly and the oak trees offer wonderful shade in the summer. Our little neighborhood also features many little groves of orange trees. Extra wide bike lanes lead to the grocery store and all the fun shops and eateries on South Congress/South 1st. "

"Always walking around the area with my dog, people are friendly and it’s quiet. South first is busy and has traffic all day, but it’s easy to get out of town on 290 which is ver convenient . Lots empty plots around but nit much new on the market."

"I do not know of community events. It’s special because of the small businesses in the area, the friendliness of neighbors, the quirky but maintained houses. I would like to go to more community events if I knew of them."

"3 minutes to the heart of downtown this is the perfect location to enjoy clubs, shopping, restaurants, hike n bike trail, Austin City Limits, Zilker Park, Congress Ave. The neighborhood is filled with all ages especially with young artist's and entrepreneurs. Known as 'South Austin' it is one of the last vestiges of true Austin and Austinites will not let that slip away. "We're all here, 'cuz we're not all there." is a tribute to the eclectic nature of this community. Live music, gospel brunches, THE most recognized restaurants, great shopping is provided by Austin's most creative zip code 78704. Houses range from bungalows to modern million dollar masterpieces living side by side and loving it. Families, singles, children, dogs, cats, respect, creeks, trees, parks, sidewalks, trails, tatters, artists, dot com ers, yogis, farmer's markets, universities, coffee shops, food trailers, doctors. lawyers, indian chiefs, SoCo has it all."
