"From Rolando Village, it’s about 10 minutes to the 8 or the 94 freeways, but then you’re pretty central to everything "

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 7 years and I like many things about it. I have some concerns about the homeless in the area especially around clay park, which is part of why I don't want to raise my daughter here."

"Older neighborhood that's becoming more family friendly as it's revitalized through home improvements and younger owners. Always been a friendly area without much of a crime problem. Walking the streets late at night is peaceful and safe."

"I moved here about a year ago and love it. I moved from the San Joaquin Valley where it's hot in the summer, cold and foggy in the winter, and almost the whole year, the air is filled with unknown chemicals and dust. Anyway, I moved to SD and my realtor showed me this neighborhood with more reasonably priced houses and still close enough to all of the great attractions of SD. I am happy in the neighborhood; it's generally quiet and safe but within walking distance of good restaurants, bars, and shopping. My neighbors (so far) are all super pleasant and easy to get along with!! "

"An incredibly unusual area in San Diego - neighborly, friendly, people know you (in a good way) and watch out for you - I call it the little "Leave it to Beaver" pocket of San Diego. Folks care about their neighborhood and actively try to improve it - lots of community participation. Wouldn't live anywhere else in San Diego!"
