"It's a good place to walk your dog, but there aren't really any dog parks in the neighborhood. However, Moswood Park is only a short distance away, which is ideal for dog owners."

"It's a great walkable neighborhood with charming shops and restaurants. It has a balance of local businesses as well as some of your favorite chain retailers. I can run multiple errands walking up and down this street. Just strolling to get my favorite coffee or takeout from my favorite restaurants is a constant highlight for me. Wonderful, homey, neighborly feel!"

"The neighborhood is a lot like what a block must have looked like in the 1950s. Every service is represented. It has a butcher, a cleaners, a tailor, a grocery store, a drug store, a bank. You literally could never leave the neighborhood and get everything you need to live. There is a third Thursday stroll every month when all the shops are open late and show work by local artists."

" As everyone knows Oakland is not the safest (It is a very safe part of Oakland, however.), but it is the most interesting, as rated last year. Nearby is homeroom (mac and cheese), Hawker fare (Sorta close + Thai), and many more good restaurants. Honestly, parks and rec. isn't amazing but you can walk to Piedmont Ave. school, and it's pretty good. Also nearby town of Piedmont has great parks, and not too far Oakland does too. The Mt. View Cemetery is fab and you will definitely want to stop by in the fall. Close grocery/convenient stores.. Trader Joe's is a 7-12min drive + Piedmont Grocery is a 15-25min walk/5min drive. You won't wanna miss this place, it's good fun here!"
