"4th of July Parade and Festival of Angels in early December are unique city events that attract many of the city’s residents. Schertz is more than just a safe community with convenient access to everything; it still feels like a small town here in most parts, though rapidly advancing development along FM3009 and points East is leading to big city headaches like traffic congestion, especially at drive times"

"We’ve lived in Schertz for 10 years and it’s both diverse and cohesive. There are many military families that retire to this community. Jonas Woods is a great neighborhood. "

"I always see people walking/running with their dogs and the dogs are so friendly and always seem to have a blast. The dogs are always on a leash and there are water fountains for people and dogs that are working and always seem to be in a good clean condition. "

"Close to 35 and easy to get around as long as 3009 isn’t congested. Traffic can be bad in the mornings but once you get to 35 it doesn’t take long."

"It’s a bit of a drive but I genuinely like Schertz-Cibolo area. Traffic on 35 is horrible at almost anytime of the day, I do wish TXDOT had a game plan that would be sooner vs later. "

"Car is the main source of transportation or you gotta carpool via park ’n ride. Bus has not quite making its way here yet. Motorcycles and cycles are not as popular but they are around. The rush hours require extra half an hour or more. Compare to ten years ago, the automobile volume has increased tremendously. The housing and developments are popping up in drove. This area and surrounding are growing fast but it still has its suburbia charm. Outside of rush hours, traffic is still pretty nice. Most conveniences are nearby so commute is not lengthy."
