"We do out door activities. There are multiple areas of opportunity to serve your local community. There is a no kill shelter and there are a number of other options for you and your pet. There is public library available to the local community. There are many options for worship in the area and opportunities to volunteer and assist with activities in the community. "

"Great schools and safe neighborhoods. HOA’s seem reasonable and most neighborhoods are well established "

"Great neighborhood. You always see people walking and everyone is friendly. The houses for the most part are well maintained. "

"4th of July Parade and Festival of Angels in early December are unique city events that attract many of the city’s residents. Schertz is more than just a safe community with convenient access to everything; it still feels like a small town here in most parts, though rapidly advancing development along FM3009 and points East is leading to big city headaches like traffic congestion, especially at drive times"
- Teresa B.

"We’ve lived in Schertz for 10 years and it’s both diverse and cohesive. There are many military families that retire to this community. Jonas Woods is a great neighborhood. "
- Jeannie J.

"It’s friendly and lots of military and policemen live here. Yards are maintained and it’s generally quiet."

"Safe neighborhood and friendly neighbors. We have great walking trails and location. The pool is relaxing and having the food trucks come and every so often a band is the best!"
- Haiylee D. .

"I always see people walking/running with their dogs and the dogs are so friendly and always seem to have a blast. The dogs are always on a leash and there are water fountains for people and dogs that are working and always seem to be in a good clean condition. "
- Jessica K.

"Close to 35 and easy to get around as long as 3009 isn’t congested. Traffic can be bad in the mornings but once you get to 35 it doesn’t take long."
- Brett.berg

"Wide sidewalks, other dog owners are respectful of leash laws and clean up after themselves. There are numerous trash receptacles along Schertz Pkwy for owners to place their waste bags"

"I always see neighbors walking their dogs around the neighborhood and even on the main road outside the subdivision that has wide sidewalks and a water fountain for the pets in a designated area :) "

"It’s a bit of a drive but I genuinely like Schertz-Cibolo area. Traffic on 35 is horrible at almost anytime of the day, I do wish TXDOT had a game plan that would be sooner vs later. "
- Leslie G.

"town is over run by too many new neighborhoods.... it's ugly... it's just an invite to more crime and trashy areas...."
- Adan G.

"Lots of Home Owners Association rules, but an awesome place to live! Very safe and fantastic schools. Live here if you get the chance. They keep developing this area with more and more to offer!"

"Car is the main source of transportation or you gotta carpool via park ’n ride. Bus has not quite making its way here yet. Motorcycles and cycles are not as popular but they are around. The rush hours require extra half an hour or more. Compare to ten years ago, the automobile volume has increased tremendously. The housing and developments are popping up in drove. This area and surrounding are growing fast but it still has its suburbia charm. Outside of rush hours, traffic is still pretty nice. Most conveniences are nearby so commute is not lengthy."
