"just be aware of the area. not all parts of lake elsinore are safe. the worst parts seem to be down grand ave. in the Lakeland village area. some bits closer to wildomar are also pretty bad. main st. isn't great but has great places to live if you have a smaller family or don't mind living in an older home. "This community is well taken care of. My commute to Main Street is only 5 minutes. Morning weekend commutes to work are about 1 hour and a half to get to SD. Not so bad if you leave around 5 am. Commutes in the afternoon are a slow not bad. About the same time . Leaving work before 2 pm will definitely give you an advantage to skipping traffic."

"Commuting via the 74 Ortega highway and or the 15 are convenient options leading into Orange County. Leaving Lake Elsinore by 6:15am ensures a smooth quick commute into Orange County. Rush hour traffic is sometimes encountered around 3pm when returning to Lake Elsinore. Average time to drive home is anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 and 1/4 hour. "
