"Quiet treed neighborhood with mixed households of families and empty-nesters. Sidewalks and GW bike path close by. Children can walk to schools and community pools. Lots of recreational fields for organized sports. Ft. Hunt park close and has large picnic areas."

"There are lots of dog owners in the neighborhood. You always see people walking dogs from early morning to late evening. People stop and chat with you when you walk your dog here."

"Very close community. Good for families as well as older couples. Amenities are plentiful. Dc and Old Town Alexandria are close. The neighborhood borders Potomac River and GW Parkway just north of Mt. Vernon."

"Lots of sidewalks, but if you don’t pick up after your dog, you will get blasted on NextDoor. Bike/walking paths close by as well."

"Lots of other dogs around for socializing, most owners are very friendly. Theres a few local dog-friendly parks and Old Town has a lot of specialized services for your pups (salons, gourmet treats, etc.)"

"I have lived here since 1982 (36 years) and I have enjoyed the neighborhood very much! I raised both my children here and feel very safe. The house values have continued to increase over the years and the neighborhood remains a great place to start a family."

"I have lived here for 37 years and raised two children here. Great area. It has A great community pool. It is a great neighborhood to raise kids and to live. The only reason I’m moving is to live closer to my kids and my grandkids."
