"Pretty quiet area. Lived here for almost 2 years and haven’t had any issues. Neighbors are really nice and help out if I need anything. Have always looked after my home when I’m not here"

"Sweetwater is a typical West Central Texas community; they love their Friday Night Football. There are plenty of churches to attend...if you are looking for a friendly atmosphere and a good place to raise your children, Sweetwater is your destination. Shopping opportunities include Walmart, Kmart, and Brookshires. Along with several specialty stores on the square. There is a community hospital and Shannon Doctor's clinic and as well as, the Nolan County Health Unit for your health care needs. There are many specialty doctors in town from the two optometrists to various dentists, an orthodontists, chiropractor, and so on. There are two museums in town...the National W.A.S.P. Museum at Avenger Field and the Pioneer Museum downtown. The Historic Municipal Auditorium presents various events throughout the year; and the historic Texas Theatre presents "live music" and weekly block buster movies. Every March the World Famous Rattlesnake Roundup takes place at the coliseum, as well as various rodeos and horse shows throughout the year. Sweetwater is a small town that offers quite a bit of small town charm. Sweetwater offers a community band made up of local musicals, they are always looking for new members; during the year they do various concert events in Sweetwater and the surrounding areas. You are just an hour away from the Abilene Regional Airport; two hours away from Lubbock's Preston Smith Airport; and two and a half hours away from Midland International Airport. . For the children, Sweetwater offers baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, pee wee football and the community pool. In the local school system there are plenty of activities to keep your children challenged and various sports teams to participate. Sweetwater offers many job opportunities...including the beginnings of the Cline Shale boom and the wind farms in full swing. Companies are hiring now.
