Read what parents are saying about Sherrard Junior High SchoolSince starting middle school I have felt completely blind to what my child is learning. I have had two poor interactions with faculty, after which they targeted my child with snide comments made towards them.

Posted by a community member on 7/10/2013I went to this school longer ago than I'd care to mention, but it was a great school then and it seems it continued on in that manner. I'm over 40 and I still tell people about what a great learning experience it was.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was very dissatisfied with the education my child was receiving from Ritchie. I felt he lost knowledge attending there. He was upset every morning, he never wanted to go to school. I have placed him in a new school and the difference is shocking. Not only is he learning, he is excited for school every day. I feel the children attending Ritchie are not being given the adequate tools they need to built a strong foundation. This school has a 4 rating in standardized test scoring. This is extremely low. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a former student from that school and having grown up and thought about my upbringing in that school I would NOT recommend mine/nor most parents kids to that school. My family had less of the average income as most who attended and there was a stigma in that regard, if you have different thoughts or opinions in accord to their faith (which the bible wants us to question and use our own judgement in my experience) you can possibly be outed as an individual. I spent most of my years there feeling alone and not fitting in due my differences so NO I wouldn't recommend this place.Other Review1y ago
