Schools administrators and teachers, do not have students best interest in mind when they come into this school i have observed multiple incidents of teachers belittling a student, as well as harassing a student. Students are unmotivated, and relatively unhappy compared to other schools in the area quality of life is usually poor, and teachers seem to lack the ability to connect to students rather they try to suppress a students true potential. This school could turn a happy kid with a lot of potential into a student who is unmotivated to even go to school because of teachers, and staff. The school is strict on its policies that are not usually set in high schools but rather middle school like rules. The administration, especially the principal seems to let their power over children get to their head, ive witnessed instances of the administration quite literally bullying and targetting students they don’t believe to fit their model of a good student. I would not recommend this school if there is an alternative i would weigh out the options.

This School doesn't correctly deal with issues with students. Most teacher let there power get to there head. We are missing teachers and they are not trying to help students or teach there class in anyway. Studesnt get bullied by the teachers and the over half of the students dont get a lunch.

The school prepared me very well for college. I am majoring in Biology at WVU and currently have a 3.75 average entering my junior year.

I have been both a student and a parent in this school system. I have been in many other areas in the country, and Philip Barbour falls way short of what other school systems are doing to provide quality education and environment for their students. To be fair, a lot of the issues are not just the school alone. Thee school board seems to be clueless as to what is best for those who matter most...The Students!
