Rock Spring Child Learning Center

My experience with this school is positive. I have a special needs child and he loves going to school everyday. He is in a mainstream classroom, that is not overcrowded, and learning more than I could expect at his grade. The communication between myself and his teachers are great. I never feel like a burden if I have questions or want to volunteer time. The staff has welcomed my whole family, I have 2 children not school age yet, when I enter the building. I couldn't be happier. I do believe if you want a good relationship with your child's school, you need to be active in some way with their education. The technology is growing there, smartboards, ipads, computer lab, etc......

It is no longer "Country Day School" - it is "Jefferson Academy". There simply is no better school in the area - hands down. It is under new ownership but continues to bring top knotch education to their students. Not only do the teachers deeply care and go the extra mile, the staff, administrators and families all feel a sense of community together to education our children and teach kindness and respect to others. The tuition is VERY reasonable and worth every penny. My child has been there since their Smart Start program (3 years old) and was reading at 4. She has cultivated wonderful friendships and it feels like all of us are one big family. The school only has 30-ish kids but is growing. I personally like the small individualized attention my children are getting. My kindergarten is 1 of 10. My 3 year old is 1 of 5. I can't say enough about this school - we have loved our past 3 years!!

I love this school very much. My oldest one attended their preschool program and now her brother is in preschool program, with the youngest one will start there this Mar. It's a very nice small school which offers wee-tot program, 2-5 days a week preschool program, kindergarten, and grade 1 & 2. My kids only go to their preschool program[3 days a week] but my youngest one will start from Wee Tot program until 3 days preschool and I absolutely like it. The staffs are very nice and polite. I love my children' teachers. They are very attentive, caring, and are able to provide a fun & safe & structure & educational environment to my children. The school is inside Rock Spring Church and is outside of Charles Town City. Their preschool program has always been packed with fun educational activities. The most I like is how structure they are with my kids, which help them much in adjusting into kindergarten year because my oldest one knew what to do and how to behave in the school environment.
