Read what parents are saying about Sun Prairie East High SchoolThe school district strives put the students first in every way. Things do happen the hen but they are minimal and communicated to the community. The teachers are wonderful and everyone deserves to be recognized.
Posted by a community member on 1/2/2024They say every child ever day but that is a bunch of lies. I had the worst time ever. I definitely don't recommend this district to anyone. I would even go to saying Madison schools are better.
Posted by a student on 9/23/2022If you are not a 5 star athlete nobody cares about you, teachers included. There are too many students in each grade, that when you actually have a problem there are so many kids in line already. And S/A cases? Yeah they don’t do ANYTHING about that. Especially if that boy is in the football team. This school punishes the victims. Though, this school does offer many unique electives.
Posted by a student on 5/11/2021This is a school district that first off is way too big. They cannot focus on individual students needs because there are 1500 more in line. And that is just the administration, the students are even worse. I just came to sun prairie and attemped to talk to people but they are all so clique invested that it is impossible to talk to anyone. This school is awful and would not reccomend.
Posted by a student on 9/1/2015I've had 2 children at Sun Prairie High school, I think with any school there are good and bad aspects, but overall my kids were...hell raisers..., and I got a great deal of support from the school in general (again more from some than others) to get my kids on track, and help them through high school. As a parent if you are willing to work with the school to work with your child, the opportunity is here, people that care are here. If you don't care and think the school should do everything? No school will satisfy you. There is a club or sport for any interest-and an awesome swim program...I do not agree with the way math is now being taught, however...a new 'supposed to be better than any other way' kids 'self guiding' in teams has been hard for my student, and in some ways I feel dis-served by that, however, overall am satisfied with the school and the faculty.

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo far, so good, as a parent of a new kindergartner - and as a parent who follows local and school-wide events and news. We have had nothing but quick, courteous communication in response to concerns. Those with general concerns should seriously consider attending the PTO (CH BEST) meetings. They seem to be sparsely attended (other than by the PTO board/members and the principal/staff), so it is easier to have an impact and be heard than if dozens of parents showed up.Parent Review4y ago - Eastside Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would give this school zero stars. It’s a joke. Students bullied, sexual comments and actions starting at kindergarten age from students that was never handled. Kids being out at recess without supervision….the list goes on. RUN as fast as you can. The teachers are wonderful but here is zero support from administration.Parent Review1y ago - Royal Oaks Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWestside is in amazing and supportive elementary school with a lot of heart and community support. Even after going there for a few months, when my son would come into the school and be greeted by name by teachers and staff members alike. They call themselves "one family" and it shows. So many smiling and supportive faces. There is emphasis on encouragement and personal achievement and the system is supportive and not punitive. My child has an IEP and I have been so impressed with how they respect my input, support my son, and really delight in who he is as a person. When he first started going to school in person at Westside, it was a new school for him and after the Covid-19 lockdown. He really struggled (to even get in the school) but with the care, patience, and understanding of his teachers and staff, after a few weeks, he began happily going off to school, no problem! I also appreciate the diversity of the school, which enriches everyone's experience, I believe. We love Westside!Parent Review1y ago - Creekside Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLack of leadership throughout Sun Prairie School District and disregard for child safety (another active shooter report at SPHS on 09-27-2019) causes children to have severe anxiety, behavioral issues and severely inhibits learning.Parent Review4y ago - Sacred Hearts School
