The teachers, especially those working in the Special Education department, are absolutely wonderful. Communication is great and parent involvement is encouraged.

Parents with children in delicate situations such as foster care or children that are part of child service investigations beware, there is no handle with care for the children that need it the way that there is supposed to be. The office staff is incredibly hostile as well during conversations relating to just about anything and they will deny "proof" that they request and withhold transfer abilities from biological parents. And if you're a step in parent best to avoid being the one to handle any school related issues because you will be met with childish responses and rude remarks. I also had the displeasure of realizing that they turn a blind eye to teachers being unnecessarily verbally hostile towards children that aren't they're "favored" ones. I've been appalled at every encounter that I've had the misfortune of having with the staff here.

My children's educational experience has been amazing at Jefferson. If you address a problem to a teacher regarding your child's performance they will help you understand what areas need work. My only issue was when I reported a bully situation with the office, I was told my child needs to tell an adult and there was nothing that could be done. I am an adult and my child felt comfortable with telling me. I am my child's advocate. Besides that situation I give Jefferson a great rating.

They do an awesome job with the younger kids but do not address bullying in the upper grades.

The best decision I ever made was sending my daughter to Seton. It is our parish school and they make sure everyone who wants their kid to go to Seton can afford it and school choice is amazing. My daughter is learning so fast and she loves going to school. The teachers are great and they really care about the kids. My daughter is excelling and learning about her faith. Elizabeth Ann Seton school is a major Blessing.
