Read what parents are saying about Central High SchoolThis is a great school, depending on you get for a teacher, the math program here is something that needs fixing and they need to fire a few choice teachers in my opinion for sheer laziness. The sports programs are all great too! Another complaint is that the school uses a 1 on 1 program with technology but the Wi-Fi is almost constantly crashing causing teachers to change their lessons on the spot. Also a major drug and alcohol is rooted through out the student body and sports program which no one seems to be fixing. May I recommend a drug an alcohol test every 2 weeks during sporting seasons.
Posted by a student on 9/28/2014This school likes to push kids through the system without care or concern if the student is actually learning. My son attended there his first year of high school and failed miserably. There was no help from teachers and they took the attitude "it's not my responsibility" when my son was not performing. They allow students to play games on their laptops instead of learning. The counselors do not reply to emails or phone calls and fail to identify problems with students. My son was having problems all year and his so called "counselor" did not even talk with him once all year. Also seems to be a big drug problem out in Salem.
Posted by a parent on 2/6/2014I really like this school! Central has some very neat things to offer. The band program here is awesome. Central has some awesome sports teams such as cross country, volleyball, softball and many other sports. Central just recently built a new athletics stadium, a new tennis court, an 8 lane all weather track, and a new softball field. There are some down sides though, the school is overcrowded and some of the teachers weren't the most helpful and willing to help students. Otherwise, this is a great school!!

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI interviewed for a custodian position at Bristol School District. The interview was done on a panel of 3 people which is strange for a custodian position. Some of the people on that panel were rude interviewers. They told me that I would get a phone call back after the interview to tell me if I got the job or not. The phone call never came. I find that to be very unprofessional. Also I was told that they don't use the microfiber mopping system which is the modern industry standard for custodial equipment. Although some of the staff members were nice. I wouldn't recommend working as a janitor at that school as they seem disorganized as to how they run their janitorial department.Other Review9mo ago - Salem Elementary School
