Read what parents are saying about Prairie Hill Waldorf SchoolPrairie Hill Waldorf provides a child first, developmentally appropriate approach to education. In this day and age of No Child Left Untested , it is a relief to know that Prairie Hill utilizes performance-based evaluations. Childhood is celebrated, appreciated, and preserved through reflective, caring educators. Our children thrive on the hands-on approach to learning, participation in class plays and school sports, memory-making field trips, art, music, etc. Best of all, as parents, you will feel part of a community who enjoy having just plain fun together. Prairie Hill-- where education is a way of life!
Posted by a parent on 4/13/2014As a young girl, my granddaughter was very high strung. She ate fast and couldn t sit still for long. Now due to her school and teacher she has developed into a much calmer person. Initially, she wasn't interested in reading but now is a true lover of books. She is a kind and considerate child and is a good team player. My granddaughter has grown into a loving and caring person due to her well-rounded instruction at Prairie Hill Waldorf School. Recently she had a major part in the class play and she was outstanding! I was so impressed at how she has grown and matured over the years. I give Prairie Hill an A+ for their part in her development!
Posted by a community member on 4/10/2014Before coming to Prairie Hill, I taught in both public and parochial schools. I was really unhappy with how children were "learning" and how I was treated. Now that I'm at Prairie Hill, I see what an amazing education it is for children. Waldorf education allows for the child to truly learn subjects. They don't just memorize facts to fill in bubbles on tests. They know the material inside and out at the end of their studies. They also get a childhood, which is now lost in many public schools. The children learn in multiple, fun ways. The comradery in the school is inspiring, too. I have never seen a faculty that works together so well and teachers are actually friends with parents. They work on many things together. It is an amazing school and I love working there.
Posted by a teacher on 4/8/2014PHW has taught my child confidence and has given him a real sense of knowledge about his self. I appreciate the philosophy of teaching to the developmental age of the child and not pushing them into subject matter and concepts before he is ready. The teaching staff is very qualified to teach my child the skills he needs to move on to high school.
Posted by a parent on 4/8/2014My daughter is in Kindergarden and my son is in playgroup. My kids ask every night if they have school tomorrow and when they do they say, "Yaaaayyyyyyy!!!!" The teachers love the kids as their own. In an age of standardized tests, textbook drilling, and Ritalin, I am happy to say this school embraces each students individuality and makes learning an experience. I love this school and I feel safe that my kids are at this school. I recommend this school to anyone who wants their kids to have an extraordinary education.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe special needs program and teachers absolutely failed my child. It was a very poor program, the teacher made Facebook posts about my low functioning autistic child while doing absolutely nothing to help him. The principal Robyn screamed at me once in front of my child because it took me an hour to drive from Milwaukee to pewaukee to pick him up from school sick. I was a single mother in school- I made it there as fast as I could and she screamed at me in the Parking lot in front of my child and everyone else. It was embarrassing, tacky, classless, and I pulled my kid out of that school soon after. My son went from being scared to go to school to happy and thriving where he is now.Parent Review1y ago - Meadowbrook Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a new family to meadowbrook, both parents working 1st shift, before and after school care for us was absolutely critical. Didn't receive any notification or information about enrollment deadlines for the Y until a week before school started... A week too late to make 1st enrollment.. So now we have to frantically struggle to find something to work for 2 weeks as busy parents... Thanks a lot Meadowbrook for the epic failure to pass along any pertinent information for before and after care for new parents in a responsible and timely manner.Parent Review7mo ago - Queen Of Apostles Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageQueen of Apostles provides children with more than just a great education. They are taught to respect and appreciate the gifts of their classmates and everyone in their community. Leadership is strong there and school families get together in and out of school events year round. All the efforts and support make this school as truly unique experience that caries with your children into their adult lives.Parent Review8y ago - St Anthony Grade School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis area is filled with great schools, public and private, which is why we regretted choosing this school. The leadership is weak, the communication between parent/teacher is poor. There is also little support from the parish priest. For other schools, their involvement has made a big difference in a school's success. Most of the teacher's teaching style is antiquated and inflexible which leads to favoritism. The schools curriculum can't compete with larger schools as there no variety in subjects like math and science. They have replaced over half of their teachers but we're not confident this will fix anything.Parent Review5y ago - Trinity Academy
