Read what parents are saying about Milwaukee School of LanguagesMe and my siblings have gone to this school for years and they have a terrible education system even the language program is terrible the teachers fail to teach their students correctly and they never handle violence correctly or bullying.
Posted by a student on 12/25/2023PARENTS PLEASE LISTEN. Your child's bilingual education is not, is NOT. Worth this, it’s not worth, the physical bullying & violence seen in these halls, the emotional abuse & complete disregard to any and everyone. The drug problems the administration will never address. The gang & racial divide that administration not only disregards but enforces, via their own self segregation. A bilingual child is not worth this hell. It’s not worth the years of therapy they will need to overcome the anxiety and trauma from the physical, verbal, and yes sometimes sexual abuse and bullying that occurs inside this building. Administration will pull the wool over your eyes and cover up everything, but please listen to us, the past students, and do not torture you child in the way we were. I’m lucky enough to say I survived, the bullying didn’t take me, the drugs & gang influences didn’t suck me in, but sadly there are many I remember from middle school who are now no longer able to say the same. MPS has zero disregard for the safety and wellbeing of their students, and this school is a prime example. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE, EVER.
Posted by a community member on 5/19/2023To think this school just a few years ago used to be one of the number one schools in the country. What a waste this beautiful neighborhood school has become. It used to be a school for talented kids who wanted to excel and now it’s just another shining example of government waste !!!!! Don’t send your child to this indoctrinated prison system if you want them taught by overpaid security guards.
Posted by a parent on 9/21/2021There are many student behavior issues at this school, which are not addressed by administration, making it a challenging environment in which to learn and thrive.
Posted by a parent on 1/21/2020If you want your child to have anything resembling a safe, quality education, do not send them here. The students have figured out that they essentially run the place, and the administration has done almost everything they can to get rid of student accountability or the ability of the teachers to do anything about the rampant bullying and abuse that happens in this school. Parents, do not send your children here.

Wish McKinley was still as good as it was. Whitman middle school is a great change.Parent Review5y ago - Roosevelt Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen my children started kindergarten at Roosevelt, I wasn't sure what to expect. I soon became very impressed. The vast majority of the teachers are caring, devoted to their students, and offer stimulating, creative lessons. The support staff members (e.g., school psychologist, social worker, secretaries) are phenomenal. My younger daughter was part of the Thinkquest team whose website was awarded the international grand prize over 1000 competing schools at all grade levels. My older daughter, who struggled at times with reading and math, was given supplementary support that helped her succeed at these subjects. The parent volunteer involvement in the school was the highest in the city. My children are now older. I feel that their education at Roosevelt has been instrumental in their success at higher academic levels. Our time at Roosevelt was overwhelmingly positive.Parent Review9y ago - Eighty-First Street School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTruly, I have been extremely happy with this school for the past 3 years. The staff truly care. They are very good at what they do, and they have a HUGE support system in the parents, volunteers, and PTA. The students learn interesting and important content - all while learning German. The kids are held to a reasonably challenging standard, and most kids seem to do well once they accept that challenge.Parent Review4y ago - Ninety-Fifth Street School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageChrist King has been our children's school for the past nine years. We consider Christ King School and the parish our family. The teachers go above and beyond to provide our children with a well rounded, child centered education. They truly educate the whole child. Dr. Hughes is an outstanding leader with a vision for Christ King. We are proud to be part of the Christ King community, and cannot imagine our life without Christ King.Parent Review9y ago
