Read what parents are saying about Cass Street SchoolNot sure for the low great school rating. A good school..great teachers! Learning curve is quite high for my kid.
Posted by a parent on 12/5/2014My daughter has attended Cass every since K-4. I've had nothing but GREAT experiences with all Teachers and Staff. She's now in the 4th Grade. My son was born in 2009 and has ran the halls of Cass way before he could attend school Now in 2014 he attends K-4 and most of the Staff and teachers are familiar with him because of his sister and our involvement with parent activities. I Just LOVE this SCHOOL and STAFF!! Thanks for EDUCATING My children
Posted by a parent on 10/30/2014This is my daughter's first yr at Cass Street. She's in the 3rd grade and I believe the direction and guidance she has been given helped her and her classmates leadership skills by giving the students different tasks "jobs" they are responsible for in the classroom. They also have the latest technology tools for the teachers to use like smartboards.
Posted by a parent on 10/8/2013I love Cass Street School because the first time I noticed Cass, I was taking my two daughters ages two and three to Cass Street Park.I noticed how the principal and staff made sure that every student was put on the buses and as well as parents picking their children up at a decent speed. That's why my two daughters had been at Cass since k-4.They are now in 7th and 8th grade. They look forward to graduating from Cass Street School.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to go to this school when i was 9/12 i am now 14, It's horrible i never got the proper education i needed and deserved i didn't know how to count money, proper spelling, cursive. The teachers are bad the only teacher i remember being good LEFT because the students were so rude and mean to her. The students got into fights 24/7 and were disrespectful asf. The bullying was insane also my brother is autistic and he always got bullied because he obv stood out.. they did nothing, I got bullied.. they did nothing even when i would tell them. Overall don't go to this school.Other Review9mo ago - Tamarack Waldorf School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you would have told me a year a few months ago that this is how I would rate Tamarack, I would have called you a liar. The school bold face lies when they say they support the diversity of their student body. They have protected teachers who have physically put their hands on children. The atmosphere at Tamarack is heavy and hard. Going to school should not be difficult. The pressure put on parents at this school is immense. No busing, lunches have to come from home (within their "healthy" criteria). The community there is only shallow. Professionalism is rare. Communication between one of my children's teachers and families did not exist. It was blind trust. The number of unsupported neurodivergent children at TWS, is large. There is a special education teacher but that doesn't matter if the main teacher and assistant do not have teacher training. When my family started at TWS, there was a family who was pushed out because of their kindergartner's neurodivergence. I thought, that won't happen to us. It did. We received a letter at 7am on a Saturday morning after I spent four weeks in class, supporting my child, while he awaited the results of a neuro-psychological assessment for ADHD. WHO KICKS OUT A 6 YEAR OLD WHILE THEY ARE AWAITING A PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION? Teachers without certifications. Which means DPI doesn't have any oversight for these teachers. I was told that "Children like my child go somewhere else." School choice has been championed but who is the choice for? Neurotypical children or children who can mask. That school shames families for their children's neurotype, not providing any support or even referring families to outside resources.Faculty at the school knowing one teacher can get out of control with children, so they keep an eye on him.An administrator who did not document this same teacher putting his hands on my child after I demanded it. The school does not pay a living wage. I was a champion for the school and volunteered countless hours there. We lost almost our entire community when we were kicked out.We did not realize how bad it was until we left. We are now in a school where the teachers and faculty are EXCITED to teach. The energy in the building is light and happy. Learning does not have to be heavy and difficult.Parent Review7mo ago - St. Marcus Lutheran School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family loves Catholic East. This school promotes core values into the children. It is faith based and I love that. Customer Service is not a term that you hear when working with schools but the customer service that this school has is outstanding. You can tell one leader a message and it will be passed on to the proper contact and feedback is given asap. I love the communication, safety that is provided during the day, and flexibility with families.Parent Review11mo ago
