Read what parents are saying about Steffen Middle SchoolSteffen Middle School is by far an excellent school. My child was very well prepared for high school after completing 3 years at Steffen. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to help all students achieve their best. The principal is a great leader and well respected throughout the district.
Posted by a parent on 12/11/2012It's important to know that half of the students here are failing to meet typical growth goals, and that not a single teacher or administrator noticed until a parent pointed it out. The administration admitted in a June 2012 memo that "significant portion" were failing to meet growth goals, but cannot explain the lack of administration awareness of the problem. Great Schools should re-evaluate ALL Wisconsin schools, based upon the discovery that WKCE results have been artificially propped up to show schools as better performing than they are.

They prioritize the value of a prospective new student over the well being of current students. They teach mostly off of printed worksheets and offer none of the outside stimulation/learning that a montessori curriculum requires. This is actually not a true montessori school. It’s been truly wonderful to see the special education program grow and thrive. Students are challenged academically, but also allowed to grow within their abilities. The teachers are very caring and involved with each of their students. The extracurricular opportunities are astounding for a small school that includes athletics, crocheting and chess clubs, to name a few. Something for everyone! Also, Trinity has the best drama program in the Mequon area.
