i am a student at oaklawn elementary i am a fourth grader and i must say that oaklawn is a great school beacause the teachers are very nice and you get to do lots of cool stuff! Kaylynn Imsande

This school has helped my daughter increase her reading level and math skills in only 6 months

As a parent and a writer my child as well as over 12 others now interviewed have stated when asked about homework errors (Sent home 3 - 4 months after with NO corrections made by teachers) , " No one told me OR taught me what was wrong. Secondly after noticing this and interviewing children and families I have found the average school day consists of the following: Little to no activity or interaction with teachers with most younger children being taught playing skills, bathroom breaks, and what lazy teachers are. Only 2 or 3 actual classes that last no more than 15-20 minutes in educational skills such as math or reading and writing.Strict reliability on computers to do almost all real teaching never discussing anything After speaking to all parents and children for my review I have found 5-6 children from the ages of 5 years old to 8 years old after 1-2 years of going to this school can STILL not read, write,spell,add OR subtract properly. However they are passing under the mask of "State minimum requirements" such as social skills and self control. I ask you how can any child pass spelling and not spell? Answer :teachers and staff that don't need to be working.

The teachers truly care about the children and their families. As an outsider looking into the school you can tell the staff respects and values each other and works together to offer the best education they can provide to the children. Education is not the only thing that St Paul's focuses on. There is high stranders for values in the children. Working with the parents to continue to teach right and wrong and compassion to others.
