St. John the Baptist School

I have had 4 kids go to school here. They are absolutely amazing they work so hard to work with me and my children 3 of who have had ieps thru them. And one who started having behavioral issues. I couldn't sit here and praise them more than the joy and pride I feel in my younger 2 who still go their in knowing they are well taken care of mental emotional and with their disabilities or behavioral issues. They try to make you feel welcomed in coming to them if your having an issue and work hard to accommodate every child with what they are going thru. Thank you to the staff here our family absolutely loves you guys and appreciate everything you guys do for us and every other family.

Extremely concerned with the staff and their ability to be positive role models for kids.

Former student, 2nd-8th grade. The compulsory military anthem concerts and unsupervised, uncontextualized bible reading have given me a lot to talk about in therapy! Let me make this clear: DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE.Shout-outs to teachers with cruel and unusual punishments. The 4th grade teacher hauled my older brother into the hall and chewed him out for "pretending to roll a joint" when he rolled a mechanical pencil lead he found in his pocket. He was 12. He did not know what a joint was. The principal (still serving) dragged me into her office for nearly two hours for disrespecting her when I covered my ears with my coat collar on a freezing January day and she did not believe me when I told her I was not shrugging at her. I was 13.If you want your kid to hate God well into their young adulthood, possibly forever, or you just want to cut the founding family fat checks to neglect your child and lie that they're giving them a comprehensive and moral education, then you're in the right place. Otherwise, steer clear.Please, parents, just do the hard work. Let your kids be in the world with other kids. Talk to them about God and faith and life at home. If I can't convince you of that as a kid who went here, became a militant atheist (largely as a result of this school), and only reformed my attitude on God in college, then at least send them somewhere else. This is not where your kid is going to learn healthy ideas about any of that.

If you are thinking about going to this school please question everything.

St. Mary Catholic School System is not a good place to work. Very unethical administration, low pay, and little to no support for students with special needs. I would not recommend.
