Maplewood Middle School

They blame you and yell at you for there pick up and drop off areas they dont have enough room for all the kids there system sucks for picking up your kids we figured we would try this school and it was a mistake the other schools had a much better pick up arange ment like Gegan Elementary School cant wait for the transfer to go through to a different school they need to fix there system/make it better and take accountability for there problems yelling at the parents in front of there kids is un called for when you cant fix there problems

Ever since Mrs. Brice left this school has gone down hill. The new principal lacks family engagement and fun for this school. Also bullying and extreme behaviors from students with lack of actual consequences is a huge problem. It is a major disruption for other kids who are eager to learn.We are halfway through the school year and neither of my children have been on any field trips. There’s no communication on any assembly’s the students had or in school events for the students. I am overall disappointed with this school and regret ever enrolling. The teachers are hit or a miss, you either have teachers who are willing to help students and overall are great. Or you get one that refuses to help a child with anything, including ones with an IEP.

5 stars for my student’s teacher, but the Principal is the problem at this school.

We have not had the best experience at this school. A lot of low-income families that do not participate in their students lives or support learning in or outside of the classroom, makes it hard for those of us who do support these things. The parent group is not very approachable and seems to be clicky, not really welcoming newcomers to the group. The student population is a mix and there is an increase in students disrespecting their peers

Extremely concerned with the staff and their ability to be positive role models for kids.
