Read what parents are saying about Lindbergh Elementary SchoolDiverse student body. Kind and qualified staff with low turnover. Strong leadership focused on results. Small classroom sizes. Despite the higher rate of poverty and higher percentage of ESL students my kids are doing well and enjoying it. This school continues to move in the right direction. Don't base your opinion entirely on standardized test scores.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is currently finishing up his kindergarten year at Arboretum. We just moved to Waunakee last summer from hours away so we knew no one when he started out the school year. He raves about all of his wonderful teachers and has made tons of good friends. The school is very clean, the staff is friendly, and I love that they are always willing to take volunteers in the classroom or let parents eat lunch with the kids. At the beginning of the year, he could read two words (literally, his name and mine) and now he is reading with little to no help. Bonus, starting Spanish in Kindergarten has been a really exciting experience for him and he loves to utilize what he has learned when he's outside of school. We could not be more pleased. Sheila Wiehart is a very active face in the school's events. It gives a wonderful feeling to see the principal of the school first thing in the morning holding the for open for the kids. She does an incredible job at creating relationships with everyone.Parent Review7y ago - Mendota Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile Gompers doesn't have the highest Great Schools rating, the sense of community there is like no other school I have experienced. Most of the staff goes above and beyond, attending fundraisers and other after school events, as well as making sure that all of their students are being challenged at their own levels. There is a wide variety of needs in this school, which is a very daunting idea for many educators, but Gompers teachers seem to take it all in stride.Parent Review10y ago - Central Wisconsin Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy family has had three children enrolled in MCDS for three years now. The level of support and attention each one receives is astonishing. All three are so different ... they each have different talents and struggles. I am amazed how this school can meet each one of my children where they are and help them grow. The teachers and staff truly want your child to succeed. I also appreciate the behavioral policies at this school compared to the public school system we came from. Issues are addressed immediately and appropriate consequences are given. All of my concerns are heard and responded to in a timely manner by all levels of admin whether it be academic or social/emotional. The rigor of the IB curriculum is strong and the breadth of knowledge it teaches truly will prepare your child for the real world. When my kids graduate I firmly believe they will excel in whatever interest area the seek out. They are being taught to be critical thinkers and to truly understand issues..not just memorize and regurgitate. The arts are celebrated here and the science program has opportunities not found elsewhere. While the school is not cheap, you truly get what you pay for. I highly recommend this school.Parent Review1y ago - Isthmus Montessori Academy Public
