Logan Middle School

We have been in 3 school districts due to moves, each working their hardest to provide for the kids on limited resources. We love public education and Emerson has knocked it out of the park for us. Amazing staff that are supportive and responsive. When something has come up, or additional support is needed, they partner with you to make a plan. My favorite part is the community this school offers. Parents are very involved and present at pick up, creating quick connections and familiarity. This school feels like family.

I'm not sure about the data used for ranking schools when Northside Elementary was recognized by the Wisconsin dpi as a 2012-2013 school of recognition for closing achievement gaps. This rating system seems seriously flawed.

We love Summit so much. It's nice to have the small-town school feel while still being so close to La Crosse and all its conveniences. Summit is very hands-on with nature and teaches the kids best practices with regard to being respectful of nature. My daughter has been going here since 4k and is now in 2nd grade. Ms. Leon (4k), Ms. Wappler (2nd grade), Ms. Veum (School Social Worker) and Mr. O (PE) are the kindest most understanding people who have helped my daughter on difficult days. She has some behavioral challenges and this school has been very good for her emotional growth. I am forever grateful for the staffs' love and support of my daughter. Mr. Uribe (Principal) is an amazing addition to the school. He is very hands-on and is frequently assisting with drop-offs and pickups as well as other school events.We are sadly moving out of the state and will no longer be able to attend Summit. I wanted to share my parting thoughts on this school for anyone who might be considering Summit as an option.

By far the best school in the area dedicated to preparing its students to meet the demands of a changing world. Its catholic, classical curriculum is the remedy for politicized curriculums found in schools today.
