Read what parents are saying about Kimberly High SchoolKHS is a fantastic school! From academics to athletics to the arts - there’s something for everyone!
Posted by a parent on 10/17/2022Going into my senior year, I have LOVED Kimberly High School. Despite some groups of people I don't like, I surround myself with good friends and took classes I enjoy and I wouldn't have gone to any other school. Kimberly HS offers a LOT of club/organizations to join, classes to take, and sporting events were particularly my favorite. While there are some things Kimberly could be better at (and frankly every school), saying Kimberly isn't the best school in the Fox Valley is SILLY!!!
Posted by a student on 5/7/2020Sports areway overrated. If you are "in" good with coaches can do or say anything. Teachers try to just get by with very little ACTUAL teaching! Not very diverse. Issues with bullying and cultural issues. Much better choices in the Appleton area!
Posted by a parent on 9/14/2018Kimberly High School is pretty much a joke. You can sleep your way through every class and still get a 3.8 GPA. Of course that 3.8 GPA doesn't mean much when you get a 22 on your ACT. When you look at the average ACT scores (KHS is below average for the Fox Valley) you can see that grade inflation is an issue here.
Posted by a student on 10/28/2015On one hand there was a ton of AP classes and clubs to choose from, but on the other hand this is not a very intellectual place. I moved here from Milwaukee and was shocked at how poor the college placement was compared to my old school. Outside of Uw-Madison, no one goes to selective colleges (no, UW-Eau Claire, Steven's Point, and St. Norbert are not selective). I felt like anyone who desired something outside the typical "path" (play sports then attend a state school) was seen as abnormal. The math program is extremely weak as evidenced by the fact that over half of graduates are not prepared for college per the ACT college readiness benchmarks. I also feel like this school does not prepare students for college and/or life. Teachers aren't allowed to deduct points for late work, and most teachers allow for corrections, which results in extreme grade inflation. When colleges see a kid with a 4.3 GPA but a 24 on the ACT, they realize the school just simply isn't challenging which is definitely the case for KHS. But hey, as long as the football team is winning...

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTop notch, strong development of community and support, Principal knows each kid and is omnipresent at the school before, during, and after and at special events. Our kids run to the school line most days to go in and teachers are very easy to communicate with and at times go out of their way to reach outParent Review4y ago - St John Nepomucene School
