Posted by a parent on 7/9/2025Fox River Academy added a new 3/4 teacher that is horrible! She is ruining the quality of the school, I wouldn’t put my kids in this school past 2nd grade. K-2 are awesome though, so sad they hired such a horrible teacher.
Posted by a parent on 5/16/2025The quality of this institution has dropped off considerably. The budget cuts have hit hard and the teachers are overwhelmed. The Kindergarten teacher is amazing. After kindergarten though, you are better off with your public school choice due to the shortage of resources.

The class sizes are reasonable, 20-25 kids per class, and I love the mixed age classrooms. Younger kids learn faster, older kids learn and retain better if helping the younger kids. It is win-win. A lot of low-income families that do not participate in their students lives or support learning in or outside of the classroom, makes it hard for those of us who do support these things. The parent group is not very approachable and seems to be clicky, not really welcoming newcomers to the group. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my children go to Jefferson and we find it to be an awesome school. The teachers really take the time to get to know their students and even make time for them after they have moved onto the next grade. My son has some attention and focus issues and his teacher this year (3rd grade) has been amazing with him. Working on all different ways to help him get organized and focused.
