The school teacher or ok depending teacher, for example one of teacher in lower grade will only use laptop for classwork and homework, i.e. no paper and pencil. Which doesn't seem good as writing with hand is one of the skills, children need to learn from beginning. Overall teacher are good and focus on the all round learning. School need to improve on the school nurse, they have multiple temporary nurses, if you kid has some ongoing medical condition it will be challenging with multiple nurse. They are not very accommodating with personal needs and follow blindly from order form ( they won't adopt to parents recommendation), they need everything written in medical order form, and if medical order is too complicated they ask you to get it simplify as nurse would not able to handle it. Generally it becomes too much pressure on kids and parents to handle the ongoing medical conditions for kids school time.

I worked at All-Star Academy beginning in September 2025. The director has no background in education or school leadership, and there is no on-site psychologist or behavioral specialist. Student behavior was routinely allowed to escalate, putting students and staff at risk.There was no coherent curriculum, only random, mostly free programs with little oversight. Staff repeatedly asked about promised benefits, including insurance, retirement, dental, and vision, and were dismissed for months. We were eventually told only 20% of an expensive health insurance plan would be covered, and no dental, vision, or retirement information was ever provided.In one serious incident, a student attempted to stab another student with a pencil while the director was off campus. I physically shielded the student to prevent harm. Staff concerns were dismissed and framed as a failure to be “restorative,” despite my 10+ years of experience using restorative practices.The same student repeatedly harmed my dog when angry, including kicking and stabbing the dog with a pencil. These behaviors were known and not addressed. Students were later enrolled who openly discussed assault rifles, acid attacks, and building bombs without staff consultation. Due to ongoing safety concerns, I was forced to resign.
