Read what parents are saying about Bryn Mawr Elementary SchoolMy son has attended Kindergarten - 3rd grade at Bryn Mawr and I am very happy with his school experience there. The teachers are very knowledgeable and clearly care deeply about the students. Much of the information on this site is inaccurate (for example the principal has not been Tammy Watanabe for over 5 years). Over the past 4 years they have made huge gains in test scores and now exceed the district average in several areas. I feel like my son is challenged and really feel like the staff work to support all students. There is a strong feeling of community and caring at this school.
Posted by a parent on 5/1/2019My daughter transferred to this school from Highland Elementary into the 4th grade. She has always done well in school, but I did notice that the students were more well behaved or maybe the teacher have a better handle on the students at Bryn Mawr. Bryn Mawr also has a great support for the teachers. They have ppl that monitor the lessons in class and if the kids aren't getting it they work with the teachers to revamp or find a better way to teach. Some of the schools in the district have been doing this for awhile. I know Highlands was next on the list. The test scores at B.M. have increased significantly since this model was introduced. I also love all the after school activities like, the science fair, movie nights and International night.
Posted by a parent on 3/7/2018This is my daughters 2nd year attending Bryn Mawr: she is challenged, the staff are respectful & caring, she has a great mix of friends and her grades reflect her hard work.As long as you remain involved in your child's education, you will be fine no matter what school your student attends :-)I am extremely pleased with this school.
Posted by a parent on 2/23/2016Our daughter started this school as a kindergartener 2 years ago and from the very first day we were impressed. We found all of the teachers to be well qualified including a tireless principle who strives to keep parent involvement at its peak. However, there does seem to be a history of non-parent involvement. It is no coincidence that the parents we see during school functions and after school activities seem to belong to the children who are succeeding. Might I suggest to the low star reviewers to also play an active role your child s education, e.g. homework, school participation, etc., and not rely solely on the teacher. Think of it as a partnership with the school. If you do your part well, the teachers can do theirs better.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur last Parent Satisfaction Survey indicated 95% of our parents were 95% satisfied with Amazing Grace. Though we offer an accelerated academic program, we intentionally maintain a sensitivity to the unique skills and capabilities of each learner. There is far more depth to Amazing Grace than simply academics. Our Core Values emphasize: Creativity, Humility, Resolve, Interdependence, Simplicity with the goal to bring about student and family Transformation. The 26 ethnic groups and 12 religious faith traditions represented in our student body fosters an appreciation of accepting differences while maintaining maturing relationships that display joy about belonging to our school family. We have high standards for our staff and students and most consistently meet and exceed those standards, especially of respect, hard work and common courtesy toward each other. Like any private school we make on-going assessments of whether or not a student is a good fit for our community and we will ask students, after a period of probation, who decide they will still not show respect to others, to find another school setting, that might be a better fit. Though no school is perfect we strive to deal with issues as soon as they arise and having an audio-video recording security system like ours, helps us to accomplish our goal of creating an emotionally safe, kind and respectful school environment.Principal Review8y ago - Rainier Christian Schools

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's a great school for kids. The teaching materials are great and understandable. Teachers are doing their best to discover every children. As a parent we also have our own part in making our children learn more. The principal and teachers are nice too.Other Review9mo ago - Vision Preparatory Academy

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo disappointed in this school! The teachers feel unheard and unsupported. The principal lacks empathy and compassion which makes it impossible for her to make decisions that are in the best interest of the students and staff. My child who used to love school, grades have dropped and absolutely dreads going to school since transferring here.Parent Review5mo ago - Renton Preparatory Christian School
