View Ridge Middle School

My son has had an absolutely amazing experience at View Ridge. He is truly seen and appreciated by his teachers, who go above and beyond to engage with him and get him excited about learning. He is a quiet, mild kid and I was extremely worried about these years. Now I’m just sad that middle school is ending! I’m so thankful for the staff at View Ridge MS.

This is a great school for low achieving or low motivation students. There are no letter grades just progress marks. There is also a climate club for gay/transgender students- great for those who might have a hard time elsewhere. Not really any homework so kids have plenty of free time after school. Overall just a really easy environment.

My daughter recently transitioned from Oregon schools to View Ridge Middle School. Having an extremely anxious, tearful first day was less than desirable. With that said, the staff, including but not limited to several teachers were instrumental in making her first day a success. She had parents stop to check on her, the school secretary was AMAZING and went way out of her way to check in and make Bella comfortable. This school is beyond wonderful, the secretary knew me the second time I walked into this office. They genuinely care about their students. Thus far, I am extremely impressed and am so glad we moved. We researched extensively prior to moving. I was a bit skeptical after some of the reviews, however haven't experienced anything that has been stated. Denise has been instrumental in our onboarding process.

Overall a really good school! I am very pleased with most of the teachers.

We moved here only after seeing Ridgefield Schools were rated 10. I was also told that Ridgefield would be good for my child that is on the autism spectrum. My child is very smart with a higher than average IQ, but will only work if he is challenged. I believe he is smarter than most of these teachers, because these teachers could or would not teach him right. my child never had anything but A's until he came to Ridgefield schools. Now he brings home D's and F's and not one teacher wonders why an A student is getting a D or F in their class. I guess I can't completely blame the teachers when my child is one of 35-40 in a class of schools that are why over crowded.
