Great so far. Communication with the staff is going good well. As a new parent I can see there is a good listening attitude from the administration. Reaching the teachers via online can be challenging specially before the Parent nights meeting which is usually after a month of classes. There you can ask questions to the teachers in person. Kids and Parent are expected to learn to use the different websites for homeworks, school information and communication with teachers. Very challenging during the beginning of the year since the system is still being updated with the current year information. I am lucky I have some time to volunteer in the school and it seems is needed since the teachers look very busy given the size of the school. Students should take advantage of the free clubs after school. School is providing transportation and snacks for the clubs for kids who need them. I hope to get more information during the School Parent Meeting at the end of September.

This school is really subpar and shows a district-wide problem: there are not enough schools for the students. Overpopulation is only getting worse, and the lack of caring among students and staff really shows. Teachers have given up, only do the bare minimum, and that results in the students doing the same.

The admins focus on all students safety. Teachers work way more than they should to try and target where there students are at. The leadership programs are amazing and can help ANY student weather, below-average or above average be a star in leadership and have a voice in this school. The staff are awesome and i bet you'll never find staff like this. And teachers are AMAZING at incorporating Fun & schoolwork hand-and-hand. The counselors are all amazing well-trained people, kind and understanding. They can help with any issues you have and you can feel comfortable talking to them. this is a fun and interesting school to be apart of.

There is always at least one teacher on long term leave and usually in subjects like Math, History or English. The quality of teaching in general is not very good, especially in Math. Only kids who did Quest in elementary school seem to be able to get through middle school Math. There are a few good teachers, but they don't make up for the overall weak performance of the school. Trying to talk to the teachers is a futile exercise. They do not answer emails or follow up on requests. Overall they don't seem to care about the students at all. The overcrowding does not help. The online system is useless. The teachers do not update the results on the system so it is hard to keep track of assignments and tests. They complain that they do not get taught to use it properly.After-school sports are just a babysitting service. The teachers don't coach the kids, just keep an eye on them so they don't wander off.

Academic performance has been declining; teachers lack enthusiasm and standard. Principal's 3 year improvement plan should be called 3 year declining plan. Current online tools in place doesn't enhance teacher accountability and student motivation. Parents need to take on a big role if you want your kids to succeed in this type of learning environment. The same comments also go to the entire district. Very disappointing.
