Jefferson Elementary School

I really enjoyed put first three yeaes in resource program. The last three were rotten. I would suggest they mive the program from under the current principal. She is clueless to tue laws. And clueless to any sort of management

I was a student here from K-6. Staff is so supportive, little bad behavior, kids perform well. 1000 times better than the school i’m at now. although not many opportunities for academic overachievers it is a great school to be in.

We recently relocated from the east coast and our son started first grade at Roosevelt. I don't think we would have never found a better school. His teacher, Ms. Fors, is a top notch teacher. Having taught special education for nine years and now teaching mainstream 1st grade, she quickly found our son to be ADD. During his first few weeks of school, he was disruptive in class and required one on one teaching. After being tested by a local pediatrician, our son was diagnosed with ADD and ADHD. He was put on medication and the difference has been astounding! He now excels in school and we were told that we should have him tested for the gifted program. The principal, Mrs. Michelle Olsen, is also wonderful. We have gotten to know her personally, as well as professionally. She has shown that she has our child's best interests at heart. We were very skeptical of this school when we saw a School Rating of 5, but given our experience, we can't help but to give this school a 10.

I attended Queen of Angels from Pre-school to 8th grade. This was over 10 years ago. I am pleased to say that several of the people working at the school today also worked there when I attended. This is saying a lot for the school. It is a school that prepared me well for life's endeavors and one that I continue to support in any way that I can. I highly suggest taking a look at Queen of Angels if you live in the Port Angeles area.
