Awful. This school is too focused on sports and popularity. I decided in my sophmore year at Monroe High School to move to Running Start with the Ocean Research College Academy (ORCA) program. I have gotten way more out of that them my entire 2 years at MHS. People here at this school focus way more on popularity and white superiority and care about no one else. No respect for the differences and diversity. I work extremely hard in my running start program and the school gives no credit about it. I never even really hear whats going on at MHS unless my friends that are still at MHS tell me so. The school tells me nothing now except when to take the SBAC. I feel very misrepresented at this school. My recommendation for future students at MHS: make sure to try to do running start its way more better for learning than with sticking to the high school all 4 years. Colleges will appreciate it more also.

Terrible. The school has no respect, diversity, or respect for culture. There is over 70% white people who are here, and you can tell they hate everyone else. The school money only goes to sports, none to drama, choir, arts, or band. I wish the score could go into the negative.

I am currently a student at Monroe hs...the school is good but their bullying policies suck. I was threatened by the same person more than once while she had a knife on her and the Dean of students failed to put a stop to it until my father took matters into his own hands and handled himself. The school has an amazing band program I being a band student for 6 years Ms. White is an outstanding band director and is known throughout the state of Washington. I like this school but I also don't like how the counselors and Dean of students can't handle bullying the way it should be handled.
