This school is awful. My child has suffered academically and behaviorally since attending this school. There have been constant issues with bullying and even sexual assault between students that the school did nothing about. They do not believe in consequences for the students and will flat out say no to parent requests regarding their own child. Conferences are "student led" and a waste of time, with no constructive criticism or honest reviews on academics or behaviors.

Absolute joke. When the “leader” of the school gets on the intercom and tells his entire school that you are mentally weak if you are being bullied along with a nonsensical tirade there’s your first red flag. So many parents complained after their kids went home and reported this that he “apologized”soon after. I personally know several families who have moved to a different school district entirely because of the way this school is “led”. I used to shrug off the rumors or complaints thinking the decision making HAD to be warranted. I can ASSURE you it is not. This is coming from an honor roll/advance class/perfect attendance/no issues beforehand family. Beware is all I have to say. Some teachers are wonderful. Most of them, I would say. There are others, however, who share a “woke” mentality that will go completely overboard and make senseless/careless decisions and grossly mishandle situations, not even abiding by their own policies.

This school is totally unsafe. Everyday people are getting beating up, discriminate by their skin color and being bullied.

We relocated here a month ago and already we have encountered several issues with the administration. We had an issue with a disturbed child threatening to kill my son, which I took to the vice principal ... who then decided to stick my child in a room with his aggressor and a "counselor apprentice". When I personally called to ask about the supposed mediation he responded by only calling/talking to my husband. I'm not sure he thought me important enough or if it's a "woman" thing, I really couldn't say. A child threatened to fight my child and punch him until he was dead, mere weeks after the Freeman incident. MLMS "handled" the situation begrudgingly and with little care or tact. They're all talk when it comes to their policies on safety.

This is a great school with an awesome principal! The administration is really striving to better the school and connect more with the community. Truly awesome!
