I would rate our experience as a 2.
Posted by a parent on 11/13/2020I was very disenchanted with this school. Most of the faculty were unwilling to work with children who fell out of the norm. More variety is needed besides a weak music program. Foreign languages or art classes could be such options. Teachers need to keep their politics out of the classroom environm

They challenge the kids in all academics & encourage them to learn and achieve their personal best. The collective efforts from the staff, the parents and the kids create a fantastic learning environment. Great school!!

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLC is an absolutely excellent school, with caring teachers, thoughtful leadership, and proactively engaged parents and community. LC is legendary in this area, and Lynden is a great place to move to, in fact, if you're in need of an upgrade in the education experience. The only drawback is that it isn't overly academic, but takes a fairly balanced approach, throwing in a mix of sports, music/drama and other programs, instead of pursuit of major academic perfection. If you're looking for a considerably above average education for your kids, with a heavy dose of sports and lifelong friendships, along with generous community support, this is a throwback school that takes care of the hearts of its kids. Feels like a 50s era place, with modern tools and technology, in the best sense. Traditional, visionary, and focused most on creating a beautiful balance of the school/life experience.
