Strong Foundation Christian Academy

All teachers are nice and friendly, including the principal (Mr. Tytler) and assistant principal (Ms. Lee). Both I and my child have grew to love this school more and more each day. We are very grateful for the extra work that the teachers have to do during Covid-19 pandemic. They also communicate very well with parents regarding the children.

From what I’ve heard Pine Tree has had a great turn around over the last 5 or so years. Dr. Steiner has been doing a fantastic job of making the school a fun and engaging place for kids to learn. Like any school there are areas that could be improved, but overall I’m happy my kid goes here.

Please do not send your kid here. They barely have any staff for one, horrible security they let me in without even asking me anything. And they don't care about bullying whatsoever. They had the audacity to tell me my child is sending nudes because they heard it from girls who have a history of bullying special needs kids and nothing was done about that either. Mind you she didn't even have a phone also it was fun learning you guys have a laugh about my daughter getting bullied at your school meetings thats very professional. There are schools nearby that are so much better. do not let your kids be bullied here especially by adults too.

This school is not good they force me to be someone's friend

so far, our personal experience has been mostly positive. our daughter has a fantastic teacher that is so well-respected that he mentors other teachers at the school. our daughter enjoys going to school each day. the student body is largely minority, and i would like to see more staff of color. from my observations as a volunteer, the school’s biggest issue is that they don’t have enough staff to address students with behavioral problems. if a child is acting out or otherwise disrupting the class, it affects the quality of education. a ton of valuable time is spent on those students, and that’s a shame. i believe these children need more supports in place, bc they’re just kids. in each class there are a few students that regularly disrupt the class. if there were more effective supports in place for those students, some of this would be stymied. unfortunately, this school district has budget problems that prevent those kinds of supports. as a result, the quality of education is negatively affected.time will tell, if our experiences turn negative. like i said, we have an excellent teacher this year.

My kids have attended Sunbeams for 6 years now, and we have been so blessed to be a part of this school! The teachers and staff are friendly, creative, and truly care about each student. We have appreciated the small class sizes and hands-on, project-based learning approach. This is a great place for kids to grow - not only academically, but spiritually and emotionally as well. I wholeheartedly recommend this school to any family seeking an excellent education rooted in Christian values.
