I grew up in a private Catholic school and my husband went to public school. We each had our own ideas of what school should look like. We hadn’t heard of Waldorf education, and it has changed our entire approach to learning and parenting as well. Our kids are thriving at ECS. It’s a place where they are allowed to be kids and not overwhelmed by the stresses of adult life and expectations. At ECS the kids are given ample time outside and physical engagement throughout the day, so their minds can learn because their physical needs are being met. The approach is holistic but with social emotional development at the center. ECS is screen free and encourages homes to be as well. That was honestly difficult for my family at first but has changed our lives in such a positive way. My kids are social, inquisitive, imaginative, healthy and most important happy.
