Employment Transition Program

Both my son (in 2nd grade) and daughter (Pre-K) go here. I personally feel that the teachers are very motivated and excellent. Parental involvement is encouraged and the mix of kids is fine. I feel that my kids are meeting their educational timelines well at Brigadoon.

They are teaching the children about being pansexual, transgender and non-binary. Then they teach them the made-up pronouns as they're telling the children there are more than two genders. Why are they perpetrating these lies? Why are the schools pushing propaganda and sexual topics? These teachers should be arrested for talking sexually to the students. You wouldn't let your next door neighbor talk to your children this way. These teachers should have to register as sex offenders.Then the principal, who I spoke to, lied and said they're not being taught these things.

At Green Gables we focus on teaching the whole child. We want to help children achieve their full potential as respectful, safe, productive, life-long learners that are happy and fulfilled members of their community. We work tirelessly to connect with families and become ever more culturally responsive. We love our beautifully diverse community and value family input as we believe they are the best experts on their children. We are extremely grateful for our thriving PTA that provides myriad ways for families to get involved in and support the learning in and out of the classroom. We invite families in for conferences twice every year, but are always accessible, by appointment at other times. We are always happy to share with you any curriculum and materials we are using, so please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions. We also have a community garden and are creating a garden program, go on many field trips, have an art docent program, and many other events every year. This is a warm, open and thriving community of learners that wants to work with you to meet your and your children's needs. Great school, my daughter has been in this school for 3 years and her progress is amazing( k-2 grade), she is reading very well, her math skills are strong. The school did get a new office secretary in 2024 - and she is nice and helpful. lots of family activities, coffee with principle once a month, efficient pick up lines.

the teachers and all the staff are very friendly and helpful, my son enjoyed going to this school, he was not familiar with English, but after a year of studying at this school, he can read, speak and understand English quite well.

As a parent, I’ve had several concerning experiences with this school that have left me feeling unsupported and overlooked.First, my daughter has been going through a difficult time, and after reaching out for help, I was told that schools typically have resources available. However, none were ever offered or mentioned to me. Whether those supports exist or not, the lack of communication made me feel like we were left to figure everything out on our own.Second, when my daughter started her first menstrual cycle at school, I had instructed her to go to the nurse. She did, but there was another situation involving a missing child, and her needs were overlooked. I was never notified and didn’t find out until months later, after she had gone through it alone and felt embarrassed. I understand emergencies happen, but this still warranted follow-up communication.Third, my daughter has been struggling with attendance. I’m doing my best to support her, but I need support from the school as well. There have been instances where she was marked present when she was actually absent, which raises concerns about accountability.I have only seen the school principal once, briefly in her office. As a parent, I would appreciate more visible leadership.That said, the school counselor is an absolute angel—kind, attentive, patient, and clearly hard-working. It feels like she truly does her best to support students, and I wish more staff interactions reflected that same level of care.Lastly, during my recent visits to the front office, I’ve noticed a lack of basic acknowledgment. When I say good morning, I’m often not responded to. I’m not expecting much—just a simple greeting. It may seem small, but those interactions set the tone and can contribute to feeling disconnected.Overall, communication, support, and attentiveness need improvement. I want my child to feel safe, supported, and seen—and right now, that hasn’t been our experience.
