I will treasure my memories of this school. My son went to this school between 2020 and 2021 for a while and all I saw in this school was a team of teachers and workers who were more like a family. Full of support and always their to support their students. Thank you very much Edison Family!

I had a child here who attended Kindergarten. As my oldest child, we were susceptible to illnesses going around the classroom because we did not attend daycare or preschool. Every time they were lethargic, had a fever, or were generally unwell, I kept them at home to recover. Due to the fact that I kept my children home when they were ill, I had to meet with the Principal. I was told that I should take them to the nurse or to the doctor every time they became ill to "prove" they were sick. This implied that I was making poor decisions for my child. In order to do either of the suggestions, I would have had to bring my one and three year olds who were also sick that morning to school or to the doctor and pay my $25 co-pay for a low-grade fever or just send them to school (which the teacher and principle preferred). These events occurred in the academic year 2019-2020.

Both of my boys attended Edison & one was in special ed. The Sped program was awful, he didn't learn anything. Instead he was 'diagnosed' by the teacher to have ADHD as an explanation why. He is one of the most laid back kids I have ever met so I knew this was a lie. I homeschool him now & he did 2 years of work in 1 (no meds, no IEP, no degree in teaching). My other son was also being 'diagnosed' with ADHD by his teacher b/c he wiggled in his seat & would take long bathroom breaks. He takes long bathroom breaks at home, too, but that explanation didn't appease her. I smelled another skunk jumping on the 'excuse' band wagon. She would always publicly humiliate my son in the classroom to the point he would be in tears, would take my son's toys that he would sneak to school, put them in a prize box & give them out as rewards to other kids as his punishment for bringing them to school. She & the school counselor would try to suggest in offhand ways that I had poor parenting skills & I was the problem, they would literally interrogate me at parent-teacher meetings. I felt as if I needed a lawyer it was so bad. I didn't understand why they targeted & bullied us. Beware.
