My daughter was attending there for the past 2 years. Her last year was in a Ready Start program. They were supposed to prepare her for Kindergarten. Throughout the year, on multiple occasions, I expressed my concerns about her fine motor skills and attention. Their answers were that she was fine and they wanted to sit back and wait and see what happens in 2016-2017. I trusted my gut feeling and paid for a full private neuropsychological. Turns out her fine motor skills are in the 2nd percentile for her age. And, she has a new diagnosis of predominantly inattentive type ADHD. HOW COME THAT HAPPENED?!?!?! She was surrounded by specialists in a specialized preschool, and yet they were telling me that she had no focus issues or fine motor skills problems??!?? They failed her because she was too high functioning autism compared to other kids that she got overlooked throughout the year. I was anything but mean or disrespectful with them, but they made me feel like I was overreacting, even saying that she must be my first child. But guess what? She’s not because my oldest has Aspergers. And I'm glad I was “overreacting”, because I was her real advocate here. Follow your feelings with your children. If you think something is not right, don't hesitate to have them them tested. One thing I will always remember, is on the graduation day, the teacher was calling the kids one by one and enumerated what they accomplished throughout the year. I’m not kidding, and I have in on video to make the matters worst, on my daughter’s turn, they said that she had beautiful long hair. Yup, that’s the only thing she “accomplished “ according to them. Not that her communication skills were tremendously getting better, not that she was able to get a little more flexible. Nope. She had beautiful long hair. That’s it. My mom’s heart was broken.

We enrolled our son at this school hoping for a thorough whole-child education rooted in the gospel. Instead we found a largely white school where multiculturalism is not tolerated. My husband is from Eastern Asia and I am white -- a fact my child was teased about and a fact that brought judgement from admin and teachers. We have friends who are both legal immigrants from the Philippines and sent their daughter here until they attended school events and saw the lack of diversity and the intolerance towards parents of color. We withdrew our son because we felt the "love thy neighbor" aspect of the gospel is not taught here. Revelation 7:9-10 says "After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne". If we are all worshipping Christ why are multicultural children and families being discriminated against? We are all God's children, we are all Christians trying to raise our children right. The school website has been updated to say: "Modern educational trends have left these much-needed virtues behind so that ideological tolerance, multiculturalism, and freedom of choice in our culture trump truth, beauty and goodness". While truth, goodness, and beauty are deep values of my husband and I, we believe it is ok to be a multicultural family or a mixed race person. We also believe that idealogical tolerance is important. You need not agree with every person you meet but children must be taught to respect others, even if that person has not found their way to God yet. I was disappointed to learn the true colors of this school and to feel the hate from a "Christian" community who is openly against tolerating differences and tolerating folks from other cultures and skin tones. Very sad that there are kids going here, and adults teaching children about such poor values. If you are white and want your children around only white children, and are ok with your Asian, brown, black, etc., child learning their cultures are below European culture- send them here. If you want your child to be taught hatred towards those who are different, send them here. Very disappointed this school exists.

We've been at Woodinville Montessori school for many years. We originally joined for pre-school but decided to stay after seeing how intelligent, engaged, and courteous the High School students were at school wide events. We've always been happy with the academic progress of our children at the school. There are National Merit scholars every year and the kids are going to top tier universities after graduation.

Our daughter has been at St. Brendan for 4 years now and we enrolled our son last fall for full-day preschool. We’ve had an amazing experience and love the teachers, staff and community. I am incredibly grateful for the positive experience we’ve had with all of our kids’ teachers. The school does an excellent job of integrating strong academic standards with faith based values, and I love that my kids have gained a religious foundation by attending Mass and praying regularly. The school hosts a variety of events throughout the year that bring families together and strengthen the community. From trunk-or-treat to the annual Craft Fair, to the Bite of St. Brendan and the family dance, there is always something that encourages connection and involvement. All the activities and events create lasting memories for the students and truly reflect the welcoming spirit of the school. I strongly recommend St. Brendan to any family looking for an environment where their child can thrive academically, spiritually, and socially.

Our family has been a part of Heritage Christian Academy for three years now, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. My 6-year-old daughter absolutely loves it here, and so do we as parents. From the moment we joined, it has felt like more than just a school—it is a community that truly cares about its students.One of the standout features is the smaller teacher-to-student ratio, which is an incredible 15:1 in kindergarten. This allows for more personalized attention, and it is clear that the teachers take full advantage of this opportunity to connect with each child. My daughter has thrived academically and emotionally because of this nurturing environment.The teachers at Heritage Christian Academy are exceptional, but I want to give a special mention to Ms. Collins. She goes above and beyond to make sure her students feel valued and supported. Her genuine care and dedication are truly heartwarming, and I know my daughter feels loved and encouraged every single day.Heritage Christian Academy is truly more than perfect, and we are so grateful to be part of this amazing school. It is a blessing to watch our daughter grow and flourish in such a caring and enriching environment. We highly recommend this school to any family looking for a place where children can thrive both academically and personally.
