Almost every teacher I had was wonderful, I felt that the support from both teachers and counselors made it easy to succeed in the squalicum high

We feel so fortunate this is our neighborhood school. I am so curious about the negative reviews, as I’ve always felt supported and encouraged to volunteer and participate within the school community to make it better. It’s not perfect, nor am I, but if I see something I want different, I work to find a solution. The principal Pam Pottle really cares about the kids and as another person said knows all of the kids names. The staff are friendly, helpful and make the school a fun place. As a single mom of two boys (5 and 9), I’ve been grateful for the strong education and formation they’ve received each year. The teachers are kind, supportive, and consistently communicative, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. My boys have a great balance of academics, play, and physical activity, and the school schedule (8–3, with extended care available until 6pm) works really well with my job. As a Catholic family, it’s been especially meaningful to see how much they’ve grown in their faith through opportunities like adoration, reconciliation, and daily prayer.
