Read what parents are saying about Bellevue Christian SchoolOur three daughters attended Bellevue Christian School and we always recommend it to our friends. We decided to send them there for the Christian worldview and for the high academic standards. All 3 daughters have highly successful careers and 2 are doctors. Two of the daughters married friends that they met at BCS. We feel blessed to be part of the BCS community.
Posted by a parent on 9/5/2023Our kids were not prepared for high level college other than in english. We had a few years where math and science teachers would change bc the teachers left or class sizes changed. That shows poor hiring andvplanning. the students also changed schedules at semester which sometimes lead to teacher changes in the exact same course.
Posted by a parent on 2/2/2023We have been so blessed to have three of our four kiddos at Bellevue Christian School. Our kiddos are being challenged academically, they are growing spiritually, and they've made wonderful friends.
Posted by a parent on 1/10/2023Bellevue Christian School is an amazing school with staff who care and students who will be friends for life with your kids. My kids started high school at Bellevue Christian as 9th graders and within no time at all have met kids they would call their best friends and I would say will be their friends for life. The families are all great quality families of the friends they have met and we have gotten to know. My kids were involved in several sports and clubs as well as one play. Being in a smaller setting than the public school it feels like a place we call home now. The staff go out of their way to make the kids feel cared for and welcome. Teachers go above and beyond to teach things in an interesting way. Hands down some of their favorite teachers in all of their time at school so far are here at Bellevue Christian. Many kids go to our church and we see them at our youth group as well which has been nice. I would say, if you want your child to feel at home at school, love going to school, and have amazing quality friends they would call lifelong friends, all in a learning environment they enjoy - come to try Bellevue Christian! They have lots of ways to tailor your schedule to your child's needs as well. Especially in 10th grade and above, you can switch to honors and AP courses to determine the level of hardness in your schedule even more. 9th grade was a great year to get involved in sports, clubs, theater and other things as well as build up great friendships. My kids became much better people as a result of going to Bellevue Christian. I am forever grateful.
Posted by a parent on 9/26/2022While many of the teachers are good others have unrealistic expectations and I cannot recommend this school overall. Perhaps they grew too fast with the pandemic, but many classes are large, support is stretched thin and follow up seems extremely lacking. There is no sense of community for families in the upper school at all. Social emotional learning is limited and kids are openly mean to each other with few if any consequences. Academic support, clubs, extracurriculars and sports options are very limited considering the size of the school.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAverage at best. Yes building is great and they have money to provide good resources but not all teachers are good and the principal is pretty inexperienced…the PTA is mainly concerned about fundraising and stocking up the teachers’ lounge! We moved our kid to another Bellevue school and are all happier!Parent Review1mo ago - Medina Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had the best experience at The Little School (TLS). My son completed kindergarten last year, and whenever I saw him on campus he was always so happy. He felt comfortable running around and saying hi to all of his friends, teachers, specialists, and the administration. After being at TLS for a few months, I noticed a change in his personality - it was the happiest I have ever seen him. He gained confidence and was genuinely having a blast. The community at TLS is caring and supportive. Even with COVID constraints, I feel a strong connection to the other families, teachers, and head of school. The faculty knows every singe child's name - and their parents' names too! The head of school, Julie Kalmus, is an amazing leader. She is organized, transparent, and communicative, and did / is doing a masterful job managing the school through the COVID pandemic.Additionally, the teachers are fabulous. They keep the students engaged, and they make learning fun - from math and science to environment, movement, and music.Lastly, the school is on 12.5 acres, and the faculty does an incredible job of enabling the kids to take full advantage of an outdoor learning environment. We feel lucky that our kids are at TLS, and you will, too.Parent Review2y ago - Three Points Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have a very mixed review of STS. The current headmaster is wonderful and has hired many incredible teachers. It’s a wonderful community of parents and we have met some of our favorite friends here. However there is a big cultural change happening at the school. It is this perfectionism at all costs point of view which our family really struggles with. There is a bit of an attitude that if your child doesn’t fit that mold, you don’t belong. The ELC is very nurturing with some of the most amazing educators, but once you hit the EC, things get very serious. I don’t think they really understand children that don’t fit that “perfection” mold and I get the sense they don’t really want to.There is also an intense academic subculture in certain classes where children are getting tutored to be pushed grade levels ahead. The school knows this, and does nothing to discourage. My child for example is meeting all grade-level norms, but constantly feels behind bc others are getting tutored to be so far ahead. It’s hard to keep self-confidence for the kids.Parent Review4mo ago - Bellevue Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis place is run like a DAYCARE not a real school. If that's that you're looking for, it's average, with a ridiculous amount of days closed (some planned other last minute because they can't get operate like a real institution). We went here for Kindergarten to 2nd grade. It's a terrible run place with incompetent teachers who simply don't care, with matching administration. There are a couple decent teachers and staff but unfortunately in early childhood (daycare) setting. If you want your child to be in a loving environment where they're learning, this is NOT the place for you. Save the headache and go elsewhere.Parent Review1y ago - Cedar Crest Academy Elementary - Bellewood
