Posted by a parent on 6/20/2023Parts of this school are pretty good, like the food is high quality and the library has a good assortment of books that kept my kid interested. Academically they're all right, but as a tribal member I found their Native lessons to be offensive, especially when they ended it with a showing of Disney'

My son loved the increased freedoms and responsibilities. The sixth grade science teachers are amazing. This school really prepared my son for middle school.

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, Blakely is amazing and people love this south end grade school. There is a strong feeling of community and caring that occurs here. Both my children went through Blakely, both very different learners, and the teachers, staff, and administration were amazing and thoughtful. Most people feel this way about the school. It is not a pressure cooker and we never saw any bullying on campus. The campus is safe and lovely. If we hadn't needed to move away, our child would still attend this school. They emerged more confident, curious, and kind, due in no small part to the strong bonds with their outstanding teachers. Our child started in grade school special ed and only lasted one year before her self esteem was destroyed by poor teachers and bullying. It has taken years to get her back on track.
